newness

Yeaow!
Yes its been a great while since i've posted any of my works, so ta-da!
I'm stoked about this simply because i have so many items to relay to everyone!
As a breif synopsis i'll say, I have been inspired by my affinity for Robots, zombies, horror, creatures, and the likes, as well as the exceedingly silly.
All of which stems from my likes as well as my passions. Afterall, why not create that which makes ourselves happy? =)
And if I could maybe touch the soul of one other along the way then I have done my part.
Just because
It has been a whirlwind since picking up and moving back to California-seems ive never quite found my place or gotten on track, never having time to write, or even feeling in the mood.
I just never quite knew what to expect, that with having a child-growing so fast before my eyes. For the most part I have been actively vending and taking part in events for some time now, since late 2008, when I really got serious with starting up the biz.
I decided to stick with the name, "Rude & reckless" after a long contemplating thought process- the way my mind always runs. Everyone seems to think I took it from the Slackers song title, however it simply stuck in my mind after listening to the Clash's "Rudy can't fail."
Ah, now you see where i'm going... =)
Silly how some things come to us in a flash of inspiration, yet when the time comes it seems so lacking, as if hidden away in the dark depths of some murky waters... unreachable until it soars up shooting from the dark abyss, shining like a beacon of light, and i swear, when the time comes you better grab it by the tail or it'll leave you so fast your head will be left spinning in that same dysfunctional whirlwind of emptyness that is left to consume you.
Yes... THAT oportune moment.

New addition to the family!
I have been working on a few new styles of the skull bow series, before moving onto a different endeavor.
First, I made striped bows, especially since stripes seem to be one of those timeless classics that never go out of style. For now these bows are available in three colors: Red, black, and pink stripes (See above.) These are also available for purchase online at Http://www.rudeandreckless.etsy.com.
I decided to make smaller bows to add to the series, knowing of course that different people have different tastes. I try my best to cater to everyones preferences as much as possible.
Finally, I knew it was time to make something a little more unique, and this hit the spot for me. This double skull flower that I call "Two in love" is made from a 4" silk carnation backed with felt for support and topped with two of my specialty handmade skulls.
All of what you see are available online. Feel free to visit me on myspace as well at http://www.myspace.com/rudeandrecklessclothing
Also, For those of you who dislike bows or flowers, I will have bobby pin clips and jewelry coming very soon. They will be featured in my next post!

Groovy baby!

It has taken me some time to post new pics and I wanted to say "thank you" to those of you who have been patiently waiting for more.
Here are but a few more of the bows that I have to offer, as before, there will be more coming soon. However this time I won't make you wait nearly as long. I have been kept busy, as personal matters arose, along with the frequent moving from place to place and single handedly taking care of a child just under one year of age. Needless to say my hands are full. I have also started a myspace page for those of you who are at all interested, Http://www.myspace.com/rudeandrecklessclothing. Come by and check it out. That page is more frequently updated and you can also be sure to contact me there as well. If you have the urge to contact me for any matter feel free at any time my e-mail address is jambot5000@gmail.com I will be happy to answer any questions whatsoever. Things should be picking up again shortly after the holidays, as I will have a fresh new approach to my work and a mind full of new ideas. I will make a point to keep you all updated as I have in the past. I look forward to hearing any feedback, please don't be shy with your remarks, I take criticism well. Thanks again!
